Tuesday Tip Day #001

I know it's not tuesday but I got lazy and didn't upload this yesterday. Every tuesday I'll be uploading tips on how to photoshop and draw using a painting program!

This tip was done on Photoshop CS4 and will work on all older versions. For programs meant for drawing like Corel, openCanvas, etc., you can choose not to adjust the opacity since they have specialized brushes with default settings for them. But it depends, again, on how smooth you want it.

Prints from UPS

I am so upset with how the prints turned out this year! It wasn't because UPS wasn't great. The quality was awsome! It was the PERSON who did it for us.

He wasn't into his work and didn't care about what we wanted to print. He basically half-heartedly did everything we told him to do. On a side note, ever since working at my new job, my boss always tell me "I will never pass a 'thats just good enough'. I want you to be proud in EVERYTHING you do." Ever since then, I've been noticing many people who don't do their work seriously. It really disappoints me but .. I still have to work on it too.

First, we asked him to print on CARD STOCK, which he failed to do and printed them on regular paper. I absolutely hate being wasteful so I just accepted the way there where... Sadly, he didn't even try to take out the white border.

Secondly, he dropped one of our prints and handed it to us like nothing happened. Grr.

Thirdly, he wasn't even WILLING to cut the paper. He was trying to discourage us from asking him to print like saying, "It takes time, it costs extra.. etc"

I hope everyone else didn't have to put up with him! I'm contemplating whether or not I should send an email about this... I just don't want anyone to have the same experience as us. He didn't seem to care or respect what was important to us.

Other than that, I am very proud of our team for working hard!! Thanks a lot guys!! Go Team!! :D

Aikon is this Friday wooot!!! Too Bad I will be MIA because I'll be at a wedding in Toronto with my cousins...GAH I wanted to cosplay this year too >.>
I really want to go to Aikon this year, but oh well I got to meet Wonder Girls (which really made my summer complete already). Back on topic though, don't worry kids we don't bite , well with some exceptions, please check out our table at Aikon this year. It will be really interesting~

Bl4sph3my here to give you a sneek peek of what's to come!! I know it's a bit overdue but better late than never!!

So with Ai-kon coming up next week you must be wondering is that all we've been working on??? HELL NO!! We have alot of individual work going on left right and center!!! Trust me when I say we've got some interesting stuff in the works!! Here's a little preview of some of my concept work for my main character Haiti from a comic I'm working on currently code named "Project Haiti: Gun and Sword" for lack of a better title. =P

The one on the bottom is actually on a canvas which hopefully I will be able to paint with such skills that it will blast your mind!

Just kidding. I guess we do need one. Wait, I'M NOT KIDDING ABOUT STICKING US IN YOUR HEAD, I'm talking about the bloooog. Blogging is sooo much fuuun. Yeah! Yeah! Ha, excuse my sidetracks (it sounds like I have ADD). --- Although there's two obvious posts already made, but what the hell. Lemme join in on the fun!

Hungry and tired. SO YOU BETTER MAKE US HAPPY BY BUYING OUR STUFF! YEAH? YEEEAH! Hahaha. No, no. But honestly guys, we worked bombdiggity to the bone for this year. It was actually pretty interesting how it all happened. Just like Mr. L mentioned, we're a group that came together with a similar burning-feeling to grab a pencil and draw whatever the heck we want and then BOOM! SMEXY ARTWORK. Being with the group, it's like an accident waiting to happen, OF COURSE, in a good way. It's more like we have fun doing what we do and then expressing it through artwork. It sounds like I don't make sense, but I'm the type to complicate my explanations. ^^ Oh no, look it's already 9:15am. I should be getting ready......

WHAM! Going back on topic --- Ai-kon 2009 is hella on its way! I'm thinking that there's a few things to finalize and then PRESTO, we are doooooone. I think? NO! Wait, yeah. We're done? Oh crap, seriously? No!

Kaaaay, seriously. I keep doing that. But um, like I said, keep your heads straight and EYES-WIDE for us at the ARTIST'S FAIRE. That's what it's called right? I think I spelled it wrong. Ha. Remember, our stuff ranges from stickers to prints to t-shirts to -- GO BUY SOMETHING! At least one thing and then if you like it, BUY MORE. And if you come by and just look at our stuff and then walk away, I swear I'll get one of my creeeepy minions to like breathe on your back or like STALK the crap out of you just until you buy something! O_O Juuuuuust kidding, sort of.

Other than that, FELLOW MEMBERS.... love you guys. WAH! AND BITE ME! My sidetracking is the boooobs. Yes, boobs. Leave me alone. (:

Sooooo...*awkward silence* Us, We, flashB4NG are coming ta Ai-Kon '09 this year (Oh dear lord, have you no mercy!) and we will be selling...*looks at script* Lots of stuff!!!

Just kidding, so we'll be selling prints (fo sho), one/two paged comics, I think stickers and t-shirts...Ya. Well we can't really tell you what we're brining because...YOU WON'T BE SURPRISED!!! And please...please...please, don't go to the vendors this year ok? Save your money for us!!! The hungry, starving, talented artists~~~ And plus...It's so expensive there...seriously!

Hm, lets talk about who we are, flashB4NG. We are a bunch of lazy mo-fos who draw, and fool around and pick on our boss's cat, and gets distracted by shiny things when we're suppose to work on our projects! But we sure draw some damn cool stuff~~~

Um...I think thats it. If there are some stuff that don't make sense up there...BAH! Someone else will fix it for me!

FIRST POST

Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water, someone goes and... I promised the slave driver I wouldn't use profanity or degrade anyone... in particular. Long story short this is the whole start of... Whatever it is we decide to do. "What do we do?", you ask? Well I'll tell you anyways!

We are flashB4NG, IN YOUR FACE, BIG DISGRACE!!

That's not really the slogan and I'm probably going to get attacked (by the beast master) for saying it, but the members of this group create fun and interesting pieces through various forms of art. Either it be with the raw power of each individual's artistic talents, unhealthily large amounts of energy drinks injected intravenously or deadlines meticulously hidden to ambush us at every turn, we are always trying to do something fun that most people will enjoy. We may greatly offend a few, which is of course completely unintentional.... Mostly. That's a bonus.

The master probably wouldn't have wanted me to do the introduction to this blog thing (Where did the term blog come from...?)

That aside, anyone interested enough to read this..... JAHAHAHAHAHAHAJAHAHAHAJAHAHAJAJA- please don't hesitate to sit back and enjoy the weird and strangely interesting things flashB4NG has to offer.
